As we prepare for the upcoming launch of our new Barcelona location, we're building our local Education team and looking for passionate educators who want to help us create a different kind of learning experience.
We're hiring across both Early Years and Primary Years, for Lead and Support Educator positions.
Please note:
- Exact start dates for Barcelona are still being finalised. We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis and will keep shortlisted candidates informed as plans take shape.

About the Roles
Boundless Education empowers children to explore their natural creativity, discover their passions and take an active role in their own learning.
We apply the renowned Finnish Curriculum, integrated with pedagogical practices from around the world, to create a personalised, multi-age, skills-driven and strength-based educational experience.
Learning isn't confined to the classroom. Our educators create experiential and inquiry-based learning opportunities that connect children with their local environment, community and each other.
For our Barcelona launch, we're hiring:
- Early Years / Explorers Lead Educators — working with children aged approximately 1–5
- Early Years / Explorers Support Educators — working with children aged approximately 1–5
- Primary Years / Pathfinders Lead Educators — working with children aged approximately 6–12
- Primary Years / Pathfinders Support Educators — working with children aged approximately 6–12
Lead Educators take ownership of the classroom experience and children's learning journeys, designing and delivering meaningful learning experiences and guiding each child along personalised learning pathways.
Support Educators work closely alongside Lead Educators, helping create an outstanding learning environment, supporting small-group and individual learning, and contributing to children's academic, social and emotional development.
What You'll Do
Depending on the role and age group, you will:
- Ensure the duty of care and create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children
- Foster children's academic, social, emotional and physical development
- Create a strong sense of community, belonging and independence
- Deliver engaging, experiential and child-centred learning experiences
- Support personalised learning pathways based on children's individual strengths, interests and developmental needs
- Implement the Boundless Education Questing framework
- Plan or support interdisciplinary learning incorporating local experiences and the surrounding community
- Apply Montessori principles in Early Years and inquiry-based learning strategies in Primary Years
- Lead or support small-group and individual learning
- Observe and monitor children's development and progress
- Support children with different academic, social-emotional, behavioural or additional learning needs
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators and the wider Education team
- Support activities such as Nature Time, Arts, Science, Cooking and Cultural Immersion
- Contribute to a dynamic, innovative and continuously evolving educational environment
About You
We're interested in hearing from educators at different stages of their careers, so the specific requirements depend on whether you're applying for a Lead or Support position and whether your expertise is in Early Years or Primary Years.
For all positions
- Excellent English language skills; Spanish is a strong advantage
- Based in Barcelona or nearby, or willing to relocate, and able to work fully on-site
- Experience working with children in an educational or learning environment
- Passion for child-centred, inclusive and holistic education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with culturally and linguistically diverse children and families
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Commitment to safeguarding, children's well-being and creating an inclusive learning environment
For Lead Educator positions
We are particularly looking for candidates with:
- A recognised educational qualification relevant to the age group you would teach
- Previous full-time classroom teaching experience — ideally 2+ years for Early Years and 3+ years for Primary Years
- Strong knowledge of child development, instructional practice and assessment
- Experience independently planning and delivering learning experiences
- Confidence taking ownership of a classroom and children's learning journeys
For Early Years Lead positions, an Early Childhood/Early Years qualification and Montessori training or strong Montessori experience are particularly relevant.
For Primary Years Lead positions,
we are looking for a Bachelor's degree in Education, Primary Education or a closely related field, alongside a recognised teaching qualification/licence appropriate for the 6–12 age range.
For Support Educator positions
We welcome candidates with:
- Experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years or Primary educational environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with Lead Educators and other members of the Education team
- An interest in developing their educational practice and supporting children with diverse learning needs
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
A qualification in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related area is an advantage, but requirements may vary depending on the Support position.
We'd Especially Love to Hear From You If You Have
- Montessori training or experience
- Experience with inquiry-based, experiential, project-based or child-centred education
- International or multicultural teaching experience
- Experience with the Finnish curriculum
- IB PYP or other inquiry-based curriculum experience
- Special Educational Needs / inclusive education experience
- Experience supporting multilingual learners
- Safeguarding or child protection training
- First aid or paediatric first aid certification
