Overview

In this role you build and operate the enterprise connectivity platform for APIs and events, enabling product teams to move faster with reusable, cloud-native services. You work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable API management and event streaming foundations on Kong, Kafka, and AWS. You’ll drive automation, IaC, and GitOps while adopting AI-assisted engineering practices to reduce toil and improve reliability. This is a chance to shape Adidas’s integration platform and empower engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

- Operate and evolve the API Management platform (gateway config, lifecycle, security, and developer onboarding)
- Operate and evolve the Apache Kafka event streaming platform (topics, consumer groups, schema registry, retries, dead-letter, delivery guarantees)
- Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps workflows (Terraform,



Helm; single source of truth)
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated, reproducible platform changes
- Apply networking and security fundamentals daily (TLS/mTLS, RBAC, secrets management)
- Own observability and reliability (logs, metrics, traces, alerting, incident response)
- Champion a self-service, platform-as-a-product mindset (documentation and tooling)
- Collaborate with product teams, SRE, security, and network engineers across the organization
- Leverage AI tools in development and contribute to AI-assisted operations initiatives
- Lead cloud-native integration initiatives end to end with autonomy (planning, estimation, blockers)

Requisitos principales

- College or university degree with focus on IT or equivalent experience
- Min 5 years IT experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in English
