Overview of the Team The Corporate IT team is responsible for the design, operation, security, and continuous evolution of IPC’s global technology infrastructure. Operating in a mission-critical, highly available environment, the team delivers secure connectivity and enterprise services that support both internal operations and customer-facing platforms. The team collaborates globally across infrastructure, cloud, security, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure resilient and scalable technology foundations.
IPC operates in 24x7 environments where reliability, security, compliance, and performance are essential.
Role Overview:
The Network Security Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, implementing, and evolving IPC’s global network and security infrastructure. This role will provide technical leadership across enterprise, data center, cloud, and hybrid networking environments while ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security.
Working closely with Infrastructure, Security Operations, Cloud Engineering, Project Management, and business stakeholders, the Security Network Architect will drive modernization initiatives, support complex deployments, and establish architecture standards that align with IPC’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures that support enterprise, cloud, and data center environments.
- Lead architecture, deployment, and optimization of routing, switching, and security technologies to improve network resilience and operational efficiency.
- Develop network modernization strategies that reduce technical debt and improve service scalability.
- Analyze existing infrastructure and recommend future-state architectures aligned with business growth and security requirements.
- Architect highly available connectivity solutions across multi-homed, global WAN and internet environments.
- Design and support next-generation firewall, intrusion prevention, segmentation, and identity-based security solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, standards, runbooks, diagrams, and architecture blueprints.
- Evaluate emerging networking, cloud, and security technologies and recommend adoption where business value exists.
- Partner with project teams to ensure network and security requirements are incorporated into technology initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting of complex network incidents and root-cause investigations.
- Support integration of cloud platforms and hybrid connectivity models while maintaining security and performance standards.
- Ensure adherence to information security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Deliver regular architecture reviews, status updates, and technical recommendations to leadership and project teams.

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:
- 7+ years of experience designing, architecting, deploying, and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructures.
- Advanced expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including Nexus, vPC, VSS, FabricPath, OTV, MPLS, VRF, IPSEC VPN, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, GRE, NAC, RAVPN and HSRP.
- Deep experience with Cisco Firepower Services, Firepower Management Center (FMC), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and next-generation firewall technologies.
- Wireless experience with Cisco 9800 WLC
- Strong experience designing large-scale data center, enterprise, or campus network environments.
- Proven expertise building highly available and multi-homed network architectures.
- Experience supporting data center network services including F5 load balancing, DNS, routing, switching, and network security.
- Solid knowledge of cloud networking, cloud migration strategies, and hybrid infrastructure designs.
- Experience with modern network observability and telemetry platforms (e.g., Grafana, ELK/Elastic, Datadog) in addition to traditional NMS tooling such as SolarWinds, NetBrain, Nagios, and IPAM.
- Strong understanding of networking security principles, governance, and information security best practices.
- Ability to independently lead and deliver large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English, including technical writing and presentation skills.
- Industry-recognized certification such as CCNP or CCIE.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, VMware vCloud, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Proven experience architecting cloud-native networking and security controls across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and SASE architectures.
- Hands-on experience with network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python) to build and manage repeatable, auditable network configurations.
- Experience leading architecture governance, design standards, and technical design review boards across global infrastructure teams.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience within financial services, capital markets, managed services, cloud hosting, or fintech environments.
- Experience supporting globally distributed infrastructure operating in 24x7 mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native networking and security architectures across major cloud providers.
- Exposure to infrastructure automation, orchestration, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across global teams.
- Demonstrated customer-centric mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within diverse, international, and cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with legacy network monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUp Gold, Scrutinizer, Kiwi CatTools) is a plus but not required.
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to financial services (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
