We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support our Spanish business across commercial law, consumer protection, data privacy, labour and employment matters. Reporting to the Legal Director, Europe and COO Spain, you will work closely with stakeholders across Europe and Japan and manage one direct report, a Labour Law Specialist.

What you will be responsible for:

- Provide practical, commercial and low-risk legal advice to business stakeholders.
- Identify legal risks and implement pragmatic solutions that support business objectives.
- Manage litigation, disputes and customer claims, coordinating with internal teams and external counsel.
- Lead employment law matters, including employee relations, works councils and collective bargaining agreements.
- Partner with HR and external lawyers on labour and employment issues.
- Draft, review, negotiate and maintain a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Support vendor and commercial negotiations to protect business interests.
- Oversee all corporate governance matters in Spain.
- Play a key role within the European GDPR working group, strengthening data privacy compliance and best practices.
- Monitor changes in Spanish legislation, assess business impact and provide strategic legal guidance.
- Drive compliance initiatives, deliver training and promote legal awareness across the organisation.
- Develop efficient legal processes, templates, policies and guidance materials.




- Support management in addressing crisis management and risk-related matters.

- Admitted to practice law in Spain
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience at a law firm or in-house
- Experience in transactional work, disputes and litigation in commercial, consumer protection, data privacy and labour and employment law
- Experience working for a retail company preferred
- Experience working in a general, multi-cultural environment preferred
- Full professional proficiency in English, Spanish and Catalan
- Open to domestic and overseas travels when required
