We are looking for a Naval Designer specialised in the 3D modelling and design of ship structures and outfitting systems using FORAN and/or Siemens NX, within long-term naval projects in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The role combines technical knowledge of naval architecture and shipbuilding with 3D modelling and the generation of production documentation directly from the model.Main Responsibilities:Naval modelling in FORAN / Siemens NX:- Hull structure (plates, profiles, bulkheads, decks, foundations).- Piping systems and fluid networks.- HVAC systems and ducting.- Electrical routing, cable trays and equipment.- Machinery and equipment arrangement.- Supports, penetrations and outfitting accessories.Modelling, information and deliverables:- Development of coordinated 3D models aligned with the rest of the disciplines.- Routing and layout of systems according to design criteria, space constraints and safety requirements.- Generation of deliverables directly from the model (general arrangement, construction and production drawings, isometrics and details).- Extraction of bills of materials and production information.- Application of project standards, templates,
catalogues and naming conventions.- Update of models and documentation following engineering changes.Coordination and quality:- Coordination with other disciplines (structure, machinery, piping, HVAC, electrical) and participation in clash detection reviews.- Geometric and information-level model quality control according to project and classification society requirements.Requirements:- Minimum 3 years of experience in naval design.- FORAN and/or Siemens NX as primary modelling tool (mandatory).- Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or Higher Technician in design/drafting.- Experience in the modelling of ship structures and/or outfitting systems.- Experience in generating construction and production documentation from the model.- Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and ship design criteria.- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection.Preferred Experience:- Projects in shipyards or naval engineering firms (defence, offshore, merchant vessels).- Knowledge of classification society rules (DNV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, ABS).- Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM environments.- English level B2.?
