In questa role you will design, build, and operate reliable, scalable backend services and platform components that power product experiences and critical workflows. You will work with cross‑functional partners to improve observability, reliability, and performance of services. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture decisions and standards. This position sits within the Technology team driving cutting‑edge digital experiences for readers and users. You will shape backend platforms that enable data‑driven features at scale.

Responsabilidades




• 4-6+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or platform environments
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Python for production-grade backend systems and APIs
• Deep experience with AWS services, Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis) and familiarity with data platforms and pipelines
• Familiarity with Snowflake and modern data orchestration, transformation, and modeling practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to connect technical work to business goals
