Description and Location

We are looking for an experienced
Senior IoT/IIoT & Edge Computing Architect
to join a strategic industrial transformation initiative for a major energy client in Madrid. The role focuses on defining, reviewing and governing Industrial IoT, Edge Computing and Cloud architectures, acting as a key technical advisor across complex OT/IT environments while driving innovation through AI-enabled industrial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern Industrial IoT & Edge architectures.
- Design scalable Cloud/Edge solutions on Azure.
- Integrate industrial devices, PLCs, SCADA and IoT platforms.




- Drive Industry 4.0 standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with OT, Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity and AI teams.
- Support AI use cases such as predictive maintenance and process optimization.
- Provide technical leadership and architecture governance.

Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in IT/OT Architecture roles.
- Strong experience in Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Edge Computing.
- Expertise in PLC, SCADA, industrial devices and connectivity architectures.
- Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 frameworks.
- Experience with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid Cloud/Edge architectures.
- Experience with Azure Networking, Kubernetes, Data & AI Services.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, 5G and industrial communications.
- Experience designing AI-driven industrial solutions.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
