An international technology company is expanding its software engineering team in Barcelona and is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help develop an advanced platform used within mobile robotics and industrial automation environments.

You will join a multicultural, globally distributed engineering team working on a sophisticated product that supports the configuration and management of automated operations. This is a hands-on technical leadership position for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while mentoring others and raising development standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development and continuous evolution of robust, scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Remain actively involved in hands-on development across the .NET backend and Angular frontend.
- Shape technical approaches and support architectural decisions for complex product requirements.
- Promote engineering best practices in areas such as clean code, performance, security, testability and automated testing.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide practical, constructive feedback to other engineers.
- Mentor 4 mid-level and junior developers,



supporting their technical growth and day-to-day development work.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and other technical teams to analyse requirements and clearly communicate implementation strategies.
- Contribute throughout the complete product lifecycle, from requirements refinement and technical definition to deployment and production monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, coding standards, delivery practices and the engineering toolchain.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to the wider software engineering community within the organisation.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience developing software products.
- Strong professional experience with C#, .NET and modern backend development.
- Solid experience building frontend applications with Angular and TypeScript.
- Full-stack development experience, with the ability to work effectively across backend and frontend components.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming and clean-code principles.
- Experience designing or integrating REST APIs and working with relational databases.
- Practical experience with automated testing, code reviews and version-control workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,



with excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience mentoring developers or acting as a technical reference within an engineering team.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
- Professional proficiency in English (C1-C2).
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have
- Experience with graph-based algorithms or mathematical modelling.
- Experience developing simulation or emulation software.
- Knowledge of UI performance optimisation and complex data visualisation.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices or event-driven architectures.
- Previous exposure to mobile robotics, industrial automation, intralogistics, warehouse technologies or material-handling systems.
- Experience working in Agile product-development environments.
