About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant – Shipping Applications to join our European IT team and support the integration and continuous improvement of Asendia’s shipping systems across Europe.

The role combines technical consulting, system integration, internal development projects and customer onboarding, working closely with IT teams, business stakeholders and customers across our European entities.

Responsibilities

- Analyse business and customer requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications, integration solutions and user stories.
- Provide technical consulting on shipping applications, integrations and related operational processes.
- Support internal development projects, working closely with Product Owners and developers on data mapping, integration specifications, testing and release validation.
- Lead the technical onboarding of new and existing customers across Europe, including data formats, API requirements, configuration, mapping logic and integration needs.
- Coordinate end-to-end testing and Go-Live readiness with IT, Operations, Onboarding teams and external partners.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation to customers throughout the onboarding process.
- Investigate technical issues, API failures, data inconsistencies and integration disruptions, managing support cases through to resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate and modernise shipping applications and related processes.





Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Informatics or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, IT consulting, technical onboarding, application integration or a related role.
- Good understanding of API integrations, data flows, mapping logic and system architecture fundamentals.
- Knowledge of JSON, XML and CSV file structures and API communication, including REST and SOAP.
- Experience with shipping systems, logistics IT, eCommerce integrations, carrier integrations or similar environments is an advantage.
- Understanding of agile methodologies, application lifecycle and structured incident management.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an international environment.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are an advantage.
