Role Overview

Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a firm that are seeking an experienced and commercially driven M&A; Director to lead and execute strategic transaction initiatives across multiple geographies. This role is not limited to a single market and will support a broad mandate including buy-side acquisitions, sell-side processes, carve-outs, and other transformational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A; transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, carve-outs, and strategic partnerships
- Manage all phases of the deal lifecycle: origination, evaluation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution
- Drive detailed financial analysis, valuation, and investment cases
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define and execute inorganic growth strategies
- Manage external advisors including banks, consultants, legal and tax specialists
- Deliver sell-side mandates and carve-out transactions,



including operational separation considerations
- Support integration planning and execution where relevant

Experience

- 10+ years of experience in M&A;, corporate development, investment banking, or transaction advisory
- Strong exposure to both buy-side and sell-side transactions
- Proven experience with complex or high-profile deals, including carve-outs or multi-entity separations
- Demonstrated track record of independently leading transactions

Skillset

- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments with high autonomy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
