Position: Network Engineer

Location: Belgium, Ghent - Hybrid

Client: Biotechnology

Type: Contract, Full-time

Main Responsibilities

- Resolve recurrent network stability issues
- Assess and refresh switch infrastructure
- Support fiber remediation and redesign activities
- Improve network performance and capacity
- Support network redesign activities alongside the SASE programme
- Support network segmentation initiatives, including laboratory environments
- Support IT/OT network segmentation where applicable

Main Requirements

- Cisco Enterprise Networking (Catalyst Switching & Routing)
- Cisco Meraki and Meraki Dashboard administration
- LAN/WAN, Wireless and SD-WAN
- Enterprise network troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Network capacity and performance management
- Infrastructure refresh and migration projects
- Fiber optics and structured cabling

Preferred:

- Palo Alto Networks, Prisma Access and Prisma SASE
- Next Generation Firewalls
- SASE and Zero Trust concepts
- Network segmentation and security architecture
- Operational Technology (OT) networking (strong plus)
- Purdue Model / PERA architecture and IEC62443 (strong plus)
- Laboratory, manufacturing or industrial network environments (strong plus)
- IT/OT network segmentation (strong plus)
