Senior Data Engineer / BI & Resource Analytics Specialist

Location: Beerse, Belgium

Contract: 9 months

Start: ASAP

Work Mode: Hybrid – minimum 1 day on-site per week

Language: Fluent English; Dutch preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build Snowflake L3 data models and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Integrate enterprise data across actuals, demand, supply, resource allocation and portfolio planning.
- Identify and resolve cross-system data inconsistencies and improve existing data models.
- Build and maintain Tableau Prep flows, Tableau dashboards and Power BI reporting.
- Support migration from legacy data flows to a Snowflake-based architecture.
- Translate complex business requirements into structured, scalable data solutions.
- Work with portfolio, resource and financial data including FTEs, allocations, costs and forecasts.
- Act as the bridge between business, data and IT teams.
- Build AI agents, automated checks and Copilot Desktop flows.
- Document data flows, transformations and business rules.

Essential Requirements

- 6–8+ years of relevant Data Engineering / BI experience.




- Advanced Snowflake and expert-level SQL skills.
- Strong ETL/ELT and data modelling experience.
- Advanced Tableau Desktop & Tableau Prep experience.
- Strong Power BI experience.
- Experience integrating and reconciling data across multiple enterprise systems.
- Understanding of portfolio planning, resource forecasting and FTE/financial planning.
- Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and challenging existing data definitions.
- Fluent English.
- Able to work at least 1 day per week on-site in Beerse.

Preferred Requirements

- Experience with Planisware, SAP, Beacon and/or HANA.
- Experience migrating legacy data solutions to Snowflake.
- Experience with AI agents, Copilot or automated data-quality checks.
- Pharmaceutical / life sciences experience.
- Dutch language skills.
- Belgium-based or within commuting distance of Beerse.
