OverviewIn this role, you serve as the technical lead for FCC catalyst applications at refinery sites in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean. You will help optimize performance, run simulations, and advise on catalyst choices and operating strategies. You'll own P&L; for assigned accounts and shape account strategies to grow BASF's FCC business. You'll collaborate closely with technical, R&D;, and commercial teams to deliver value and drive market share. and commercial terms with refinery customersDeliver accurate sales forecasts and manage CRM tools for account planningIdentify and capture new FCC business opportunities within existing and new refinery accountsExpand account penetration through relationship mapping across technical and commercial stakeholdersPosition BASF's FCC catalyst portfolio to maximize market share in the regionBuild strong relationships with refinery engineers, operations teams, and decision-makersAct as the interface between customers and internal BASF technical, R&D;, and business teamsRepresent BASF in customer meetings, technical reviews, and industry engagementsRequisitos principalesUniversity degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related disciplinesStrong background (at least 5 years) in refining with deep expertise in FCC operations and catalystsProven track record in a customer-facing FCC technical or commercial role with success in pricing and contract negotiationsAbility to perform FCC process analysis, modeling, and technical evaluationsFamiliarity with Southern Europe / Mediterranean refining landscapeStrong English communication skills (verbal and written); knowledge of a Mediterranean language is a plusAvailability to travel ~30–50% of working timestrong communication skillscustomer-facing and relationship-buildingcross-functional collaborationFCC catalyst knowledge and operationsFCC process analysis and modelingtechnical evaluations and simulations
