Overview

As the first Platform Product Manager, you will shape internal platform products to reduce developer friction, boost reliability, and accelerate delivery. You'll define vision and roadmaps for core platform capabilities and promote standardization across engineering teams. You'll translate technical needs into clear requirements, partner with engineers on scalable solutions, and measure impact on productivity and cost. This role sits at the intersection of product and platform, enabling rapid growth at a global scale while keeping developer experience central.

Responsabilidades

- Maintain product charters with users, problems, non-goals, and success metrics
- Define and own vision, roadmap, and OKRs for core platform capabilities
- Identify and prioritize developer pain points using qualitative and quantitative signals
- Translate platform needs into clear requirements and priorities
- Partner with engineering to evaluate trade-offs for scalable platform capabilities
- Drive adoption of platform standards across teams
- Define and track success metrics (productivity, reliability,



cost efficiency)
- Align platform investments with growth and scaling goals
- Conduct discovery via developer interviews, surveys, incident reviews, and platform metrics
- Lead migrations and deprecations with empathy and clarity
- Collaborate closely with EMs and Staff+ engineers, embedded with engineering teams

Requisitos principales

- Strong product thinking with technical literacy in software engineering, developer tooling, or systems
- Experience with highly technical internal products (platforms, tooling, infra, or developer-facing systems)
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and conflicting priorities
- Proven ability to challenge priorities and align stakeholders
- Bias for leverage, defaults, and standards to unlock creativity
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure; modern distributed systems
- Understanding of trade-offs between reliability vs velocity, abstraction vs flexibility, standardization vs autonomy
- Knowledge of SLOs, DORA metrics, and cost efficiency metrics
- Ability to review RFCs and architecture proposals at a conceptual, outcome-oriented level
- Nice-to-have: hands-on software engineering or Engineering Manager background
