An opportunity for a *Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer* has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid).*Department Mission:* The successful applicant will join the Systems Engineering Department. Monitor Supplier Development:* Audit and oversee suppliers to ensure full compliance with RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178 standards, including process controls, traceability, validation/verification, Requirements-Based Engineering, Single Event Upset (SEU) control, and equipment robustness.* *Establish Documentation Deliverables:* Define and control the required hardware and software documentation packages to be delivered by suppliers at each development phase per RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178.* *Coordinate Cross-Functional Domains:* Work jointly with equipment designers, Quality, Certification, Qualification, Safety, and Design Office teams to achieve civil and military aircraft equipment certification.*Education:* Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems, or a related discipline).* *Experience:* Proven experience in Hardware Design Assurance and Software Design Assurance for aircraft equipment, including Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) devices (such as ASICs, PLDs,
