As a Senior Data Engineer in Preply’s Data Ingestion and Enrichment team, you will own the data layer powering analytics, ML, and product. You’ll design and scale the data lake, build reliable batch and streaming ingestion pipelines, and enforce data contracts and governance. You’ll collaborate with ML, analytics, and product squads to ensure production-ready, observable, and reusable data assets. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership in a fast-growing, general platform.

Design and own Preply’s data lake with clear ownership, schemas and quality expectations
Develop and operate scalable batch and streaming ingestion pipelines for real-time and analytical use cases
Define data contracts and embed validation and quality checks early in ingestion lifecycle
Build enrichment logic to standardize and contextualize data across domains
Instrument pipelines with observability,



contribute to SLOs, alerts and incident playbooks
Implement governance by design with access control, privacy protections and auditable flows
Enable self-service through standardized ingestion templates and metadata/documents
Collaborate with Product, Backend, Analytics, and ML teams to align ingestion requirements and priorities
Requisitos principales
Experience building architectural patterns for large-scale applications with high-volume data pipelines
Proven track record in platform or data engineering teams with multi-stakeholder deliveries xqbhyrx
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern DevOps practices
Hands-on design and implementation of real-time and batch data processing using Spark, Flink, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Debezium
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive continuous improvement mindset
