In this role you will shape and govern the ODS Datalake and cloud-based data ecosystem at Open Digital Services. You will collaborate with data engineering, ML, security, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure data platforms that empower analytics, AI/ML and operational processes. You’ll define architectural standards and lead AWS-based solutions to support a multi-entity, regulated banking environment. This is a hands-on, architecture-focused position with a strong emphasis on data governance and production reliability.
Responsabilidades
Design and evolve the ODS Datalake architecture for scalability, reliability, security and maintainability
Define architectural standards, patterns and best practices for data processing and storage
Lead the design of AWS-based data solutions using services like S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift, Lake Formation, Kinesis and IAM
Partner with Data Engineering to align pipelines with architectural principles and production standards
Support data quality, lineage, metadata, observability, security and access control across the Datalake




Collaborate with ML and Analytics to ensure data foundations are reliable for advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases
Review technical designs and guide engineering teams on architectural decisions
Identify risks, debt, bottlenecks and scalability issues, proposing pragmatic solutions
Promote engineering excellence, automation, documentation and operational discipline
Act as technical reference for AWS data architecture, Datalake evolution and cloud-native data platform design
Requisitos principales
7+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Big Data or related domains
Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (EMR, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, xqbhyrx EC2, etc.)
Experience defining architectural standards and best practices for data platforms
Experience in complex technical environments with multiple stakeholders
Experience in banking, fintech or regulated environments
Fluent English; professional Spanish (preferred)
Strong architectural thinking
Excellent communication skills
Stakeholder management and influence
AWS data services: S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift, Lake Formation, Kinesis, IAM
Modern data lake/lakehouse architectures
Data governance, metadata, lineage, quality, observability, access control
