In this role you will lead and operate the DB2 for z/OS environments within a large, multinational enterprise. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of a multi-subsystem DB2 estate. You drive upgrades, DR planning, and optimization efforts across regions, enabling reliable, scalable data services. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise data strategy in a mission-critical setting.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments
• Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems
• Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades and maintenance implementations
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2-based applications
• Ensure stability, integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 databases and infrastructure
• Support and manage Distributed Data Facility (DDF) and distributed DB2 connectivity
• Maintain OLTP environments with CICS and DB2 and optimize performance
• Monitor performance and apply tuning recommendations for efficiency
• Perform capacity planning and growth forecasting
• Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Ensure storage management, archiving, and retention processes




• Implement and manage database security controls and access governance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and infrastructure issues
• Collaborate with application teams on database design, deployment, and problem resolution
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain technical documentation, operational standards, and support procedures
• Ensure database and monitoring solutions stay on supported versions
Responsabilidades
• 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with DB2 for z/OS administration
• Experience in large-scale DB2 environments with multiple subsystems
• DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting xqbhyrx
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or other mission-critical environments preferred
• Hands-on experience supporting high-volume OLTP with CICS and DB2
• DB2 for z/OS, z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF
• Experience installing, upgrading, testing DB2 releases and Level 2/3 support
• DDF (Distributed DB2 Connectivity) experience
• DB2 performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, DR
• Security administration for databases
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
