Overview

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of scalable data platforms powering analytics and product experiences. You’ll balance hands-on development with technical leadership to set direction across data systems and collaborate with engineering, product, and analysts. You drive cross-team initiatives to improve data quality and reliability while shaping the data platform roadmap. This is an opportunity to influence large-scale data decisions at Dow Jones and help enable data-driven outcomes across the business.

Responsabilidades

- Lead & Architect scalable data initiatives and influence data architecture across storage, transformation, and serving layers




- Drive improvements in data quality, reliability, and maintainability through structured problem-solving
- Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with executive audiences

Requisitos principales

- 7+ years in software or data engineering at staff scope
- Hands-on experience with data lakes (Snowflake) and orchestration (dbt, Airflow)
- Deep AWS experience (EC2, S3, Kinesis, ECS, SNS, SQS, Lambda)
- Strong SQL, Java (Spring Boot), and Python; experience with REST APIs and GraphQL; relational and NoSQL databases
