Whatever your ambition, Mott MacDonald is where people come to be brilliant.About the business unitMott MacDonald's Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers both project, programme & commercial management (PPCM) services and advisory solutions across the built environment, defence, energy, water, environmental, transportation, health and care sectors.We deliver tailored solutions that directly address our clients' key challenges, combining our world-leading project expertise with unrivalled programme delivery capabilities and advisory services.APD delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting and education, health and care management.Overview of the roleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects or programmes, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while providing leadership to project teams and managing key delivery risks.You will be accountable for project performance across quality, programme, commercial outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.What you will contribute to the team:Lead the delivery of complex hyperscale and colocation data centre construction projectsManage multidisciplinary project teams and construction management resourcesOversee contractor performance, project governance and construction execution strategiesManage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact for project mattersLead project reporting, risk management,



change control and commercial oversightReview and challenge contractor schedules, methodologies and performance metricsSupport procurement strategies and contract administration activitiesMentor junior project management staff and contribute to team developmentResolve complex technical, commercial and stakeholder issues.Candidate specificationEssential:Significant experience managing major construction projects within data centre, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other highly technical environmentsDemonstrated experience leading large project teams through all phases of project deliveryProven track record delivering projects with substantial capital valuesStrong understanding of construction contracts, including NEC, FIDIC or equivalent contract formsExperience working directly with global clients, contractors and consultantsKnowledge of commissioning and handover processes within mission-critical facilities.Qualifications:Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or related disciplineProfessional chartership or equivalent professional accreditation desirableRelevant project management qualification desirable.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and people management capabilityExcellent client-facing and stakeholder engagement skillsAdvanced commercial and risk management experienceProven ability to influence project outcomes and drive performance improvementsStrong negotiation, communication and presentation skillsStrategic thinker with excellent decision-making capability.Languages:Native-level SpanishFluent English (written and spoken)Additional RequirementsFlexibility to travel across Spain and EuropeValid Spanish or EU driving licenceWe are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
