A farmer sends us soil data showing 40% more organic matter after three years without pesticides. Somewhere else, a supermarket ad tells people "natural" fruit is grown the same way it was in 1985. Both things are true right now, in the same market, and almost nobody outside a lab knows it.

Your mission: turn what our farmers and scientists know into content that changes what people believe about food — and gets them to act on it.

We don't need someone to "manage social media." We need someone who can read an agronomic report on Tuesday and turn it into a piece of content by Thursday that makes 50,000 people question the tomato they bought last week.

This is not for you if...

- You think of yourself as a marketer optimising for conversion. We're not selling — we're building a movement, and the two require different instincts.

- You need a brief before you can create. Half of this job is deciding what the story is before anyone tells you.

- Being on camera, in the field, mid-argument with a sceptical commenter, makes you uncomfortable. You're the face of this as much as the voice behind it.

- You'd rather wait for permission than publish and defend it afterwards.

What you'll actually do

Campaign strategy (30%). You run the daily strategy for our impact channels — organic only, no paid media, no vanity metrics. You decide what CrowdFarming picks a fight about this month, and you build the campaign around it.

Content (40%). You take agronomic data — soil health, water use, biodiversity — and turn it into content people actually stop scrolling for. Mostly social, sometimes an article, sometimes ideas for how we show impact data inside the product itself.

Field work (20%). You go where the story is: a farmer's protest, a field visit, a policy hearing. You come back with footage, quotes,

and the kind of detail that can't be invented from a desk.

Community (10%). You're in the comments, in five languages' worth of context, defending the science when someone pushes back — without ever sounding defensive.

How we work

There's a culture that runs through all of this before it runs through any specific task. We move fast and we'd rather publish something imperfect and iterate than sit on something safe. You'll have real autonomy here — nobody is going to hand you a content calendar. That's yours to build, and yours to be wrong about sometimes.

What gets you in the door

- A degree in Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Biology, Journalism or Communications — with vigente published work in science or environmental communication behind it, not just the degree.

- Fluent English, and native or C1 German — a huge share of our community speaks German. Spanish or French on top is a plus, not a requirement.

- A real interest in both EU agricultural policy and what makes something spread online. Most people have one of these. We need both.

- Based in or willing to relocate to Madrid, with a passport (mental or literal) that's always half-packed.

What we offer

Permanent, full-time, working conditions adapted to local regulations. Flexible schedule. Competitive pay for the market. Health insurance where applicable. A training budget that's actually yours to use. Partially funded language classes. And yes, website credits on your birthday and work anniversary.

If you've read this far: your CV matters less than how you think under ambiguity, and whether you can turn a spreadsheet into a story someone shares. If that's you, we want to hear from the person who'd rather be in a farmer's field than behind a content calendar — and can still hit publish on both.
