About the position
We are looking for an e-commerce accountant with CPA to join our team and take ownership of managing monthly financial closings and providing US GAAP-compliant bookkeeping. The adecuado candidate is experienced in QuickBooks Online (QBO), e-commerce financial operations with Shopify/A2X, and financial reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting tasks
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateway transactions (such as PayPal), and inventory.
- Coordinate with the international accounting team on inventory management, consolidation, and transfer pricing.
- Prepare, review, and deliver US GAAP-compliant financial statements on time.
- Conduct monthly and year-end closings, ensuring accurate reporting of financial data.
- Perform self-reviews for accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Review company books for tax planning opportunities.
- Clean up existing bookkeeping problems
- Automate the invoicing process
- Perform monthly financial analysis on variances
- Manage and report sales tax
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of experience in ecommerce financial operation with Shopify.
