Overview

As Director of General Medical Affairs for Heart Failure, you guide clinical and scientific strategy for a growing portfolio in Europe and beyond. You will partner with Clinical Affairs, R&D;, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial teams to shape evidence generation and publication of results. You'll lead ISS programs, medical education, and cross‐functional initiatives to ensure safe product performance and regulatory alignment.

This role combines strategic leadership with a hands‐on medical input to advance advanced HF and MCS therapies. You will engage global investigators and key stakeholders to drive impact and business goals.

Responsabilidades

Regionally lead Investigator Initiated Study and Research Grant programs

Define and prioritize the Global HF ISS strategy

Contribute to physician-level professional education on advanced HF, MCS and hemodynamic management

Collaborate with professional societies to raise awareness and knowledge

Support commercial and marketing teams with strategic customer and KOL interactions





Lead internal educational activities related to HF

Provide R&D; input across the product portfolio

Support Abbott-led trials and ensure regional representation in evidence generation

Oversee off-label discussions with clinicians in the OUS region

Assist market access with clinical input for reimbursement processes OUS

Represent Abbott HF Medical Affairs with regulatory bodies

Provide medical input to investigation teams and regulatory reporting

Update medical affairs procedural documents and manage change requests

Requisitos principales MD degree (+ 8 years) with clinical experience in cardiovascular disease

Experience with medical research and scientific publishing

Industry experience preferred but not required

Fluent English; other languages a plus leadership cross-functional collaboration stakeholder management medical research clinical trial understanding scientific publishing
