Overview

As Director of Software Engineering, you'll lead the design, development, and operation of Gartner's attendee-facing mobile and web platforms. You'll align technical efforts with business goals and steer autonomous delivery teams across high-visibility conferences. You'll build talent, foster accountability, and drive continuous innovation, with a focus on reliability and user-centric experiences for executive audiences.

Responsabilidades Lead end-to-end delivery for attendee-facing mobile and web platforms, including architecture, roadmap prioritization, and QA

Ensure timely, high-quality releases aligned with conference calendars and business goals

Partner with business stakeholders to translate capabilities (scalability, personalization, analytics, mobile-first design) into business outcomes





Set and track measurable success metrics for platform performance, user satisfaction, and operational excellence

Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (AI, analytics, personalization engines, modern frameworks) to enhance customer journeys

Requisitos principales 12+ years in software engineering

4–5 years in engineering leadership

3+ years leading teams of 15+ engineers or large-scale delivery

Proven experience with high-scale external-facing mobile and web platforms

Strong experience designing digital products using .NET (preferred) / Python / Java

Deploying on cloud providers such as AWS (preferred) / Azure

Experience delivering products on fixed timelines with cross-functional dependencies

Deep knowledge of scalable system architecture and modern development practices

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year
