HSE Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre

We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Zaragoza, working directly on the client side to oversee health, safety and environmental performance across the project.

This is a long-term, 2-year contract offering €550 per day plus €2,000 per month towards expenses.

The Role

You will represent the client across all HSE matters, providing oversight and assurance of the General Contractor and wider supply chain throughout construction.

Responsibilities will include

- Client-side HSE oversight across a large-scale hyperscale data centre project
- Monitoring and auditing the General Contractor and subcontractor HSE performance
- Reviewing RAMS, HSE plans, procedures and contractor documentation
- Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
- Leading HSE meetings and driving corrective actions
- Monitoring leading and lagging safety indicators
- Investigating incidents, near misses and identifying root causes
- Ensuring compliance with Spanish legislation,



client standards and project requirements
- Challenging contractors where standards fall below expectations
- Producing HSE reports and communicating performance to senior client stakeholders
- Driving a proactive safety culture across the project

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

- Strong HSE management experience on major construction or engineering projects
- Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical, industrial, energy or major infrastructure projects
- Experience operating in a client-side, PMC or contractor oversight capacity
- Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and construction requirements
- Relevant HSE qualifications
- Confidence managing and challenging major General Contractors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent Spanish and English – essential
