Overview In this role you will maintain and secure a large-scale z/OS mainframe network platform. You will join a multi-functional team focused on IBM mainframe networking, ensuring reliable connectivity and data/IP security for host subsystems and product suites. You'll handle critical configuration, issue resolution, and 24x7 support to keep transmission services running.

This is an opportunity to work at scale with established mainframe tooling while contributing to responsible innovation. You will collaborate across technical, application, and operations teams to drive stable, secure mainframe environments.

Responsabilidades Configure and maintain the integrity and data/IP security of the Mainframe host communication subsystems and associated products

Support IBM mainframe networks and transmission products and infrastructure as part of a multi-functional team

Participate in 24x7 on-call support rota

Perform TCPIP Port Reserves (Additions, Deletions, Changes)

Perform VTAM updates (Additions, Deletions, Changes) and PU/LU updates including Enterprise Extenders

Manage OSA Adapters in a complex mainframe environment

Implement AT-TLS rules (digital certificate management)

Configure and manage IPSEC policies (permit/deny rules, VPN/IPsec tunnels)

Trace, debug and perform error analysis

Communicate with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure network connectivity and security (including after hours)





Requisitos principales Experience administering file transmission products such as Connect: Direct and FTP (or as a user)

Knowledge of z/OS and z/OS utilities

Understanding of z/OS networking services, structure and related software and protocols

Understanding of network security disciplines (IPSec, TLS/SSL, certificates) and their relation to file transmission

Experience with problem management from diagnosis to resolution

Understanding of Change Management processes

Ability to customize/manage secure SNA and TCP/IP networks under z/OS

Knowledge of mainframe network management tools (NetMaster) and multi-session products (TUBES, Supersession)

Experience managing mainframe printing products

General z/OS systems programming experience

Knowledge of System z hardware including OSA-Express network cards

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills

Familiarity with Cisco Network Solutions

Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure

Good organizational skills
