We are looking for an experienced Lead Planner to join our EPC Projects Division in Madrid, supporting the delivery of large-scale energy and industrial projects, including biomass and combined cycle power plants. Working on EPC projects exceeding €100 million , you will lead the development, integration, monitoring and control of project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle. You will be the focal point for planning matters, working closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning teams and clients.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain and control integrated Level 2 and Level 3 schedules using Primavera P6.
- Own and manage the integrated EPC schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and challenge contractor and site Level 4 schedules, ensuring alignment with milestones and project objectives.
- Assess progress, productivity, schedule performance and recovery plans.
- Coordinate planning interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.
- Monitor progress against approved baselines and perform critical path, delay and schedule analyses.
- Identify schedule risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation and recovery actions.
- Prepare planning reports, forecasts, resource-loaded schedules and progress curves.
- Support claims, extension of time processes and planning review meetings.
- Act as the planning focal point for management, clients and stakeholders, providing guidance to project planners when required.
Project Environment
- Multi-disciplinary EPC teams across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Coordination and mentoring of additional planners depending on project complexity.
- Madrid-based role with occasional project and client visits.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of planning experience in EPC, energy, industrial, infrastructure or construction projects.
