Overview

As an Embedded Software Engineer in GMVs Robotics and Onboard Autonomy team, you will help develop advanced space-grade hardware and software for ESA and commercial customers. You contribute to FPGA and digital hardware projects, embedded architectures, and onboard AI capabilities, shaping next-gen space platforms. You will work across R&D; and operational projects, collaborating with universities and technology partners to drive innovation.

This role offers exposure to cutting-edge space avionics and a clear path to impact the missions of future space programs.

Responsabilidades Design and develop hardware/software solutions for next-generation space platforms

Contribute to digital hardware design and FPGA development for space applications

Define and implement embedded architectures on RISC processors and heterogeneous computing platforms

Develop acceleration solutions for signal processing, communications, and onboard AI

Support rapid prototyping,



validation, and certification for space-grade systems

Contribute to architecture definition, technical estimates, and solution development for satellites and onboard instruments

Participate in R&D; activities exploring emerging technologies and driving innovation

Collaborate with universities, research centers, and technology partners

Requisitos principales Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering or related field (space applications focus)

Experience in digital hardware design and development

Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Experience or interest in space technologies and aerospace projects

Hands-on experience with Adaptive Embedded Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies

Collaborative mindset

Ability to work across cross-functional teams

Problem-solving and initiative in R&D; contexts

PetaLinux and embedded systems development environments

Xilinx Vivado and FPGA development

Containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
