Overview In this role you will lead the design and deployment of manufacturing and service test systems for robotic products, while advancing supplier quality across European operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and testability, drive NPI to production ramps, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that raise quality and efficiency. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic supplier development and data-driven problem solving.
This is a high-impact role at Omron's European manufacturing footprint, offering scope to shape test architectures and robust quality practices.

Responsabilidades
Lead design, development, deployment and continuous improvement of manufacturing and service test systems for robotic/electromechanical products
Define/manufacture test strategies, coverage, acceptance criteria, and validation methodologies
Maintain and improve test specifications, SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides
Collaborate with Design, Firmware, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability/testability
Support New Product Introduction including prototype, pilot, and production transfers
Lead supplier quality initiatives: supplier assessments, process audits, corrective actions, qualification activities, continuous improvement
Drive root cause investigations for production, field, supplier, and test-related failures with effective CAPAs
Analyze manufacturing and supplier quality data to improve yields and process capability
Establish and monitor KPIs: FPY, defect rates, test coverage, supplier PPM, cost of quality
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing and supplier quality teams
Partner with contract manufacturers to ensure readiness and quality compliance during production ramps
Support FAT, SAT, service validation testing and production qualification
Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, regulatory rules, and best practices
Travel up to 25-40% internationally for supplier and site support
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across global sites, with focus on European operations
Drive continuous improvement in product quality, manufacturing efficiency, test effectiveness, and cost reduction
Stay current on industry trends in manufacturing tech, robotics, and quality methodologies
Requisitos principales 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, test systems development, supplier quality, or production support in high-volume manufacturing
Strong understanding of manufacturing test methodologies, validation, and production qualification
Proficiency with test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and automated test systems
Experience developing test specs, FAT/SAT, validation reports, and manufacturing process documentation
Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, PFMEA, DFMEA, and Control Plans
Experience managing supplier quality activities including audits, CAPAs, PPAP, APQP, supplier development
Strong root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, 5-Why, Failure Analysis
Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, Minitab, JMP
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, supply chain, and suppliers
Demonstrated leadership to drive projects independently and lead cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, sensors, motion control, and manufacturing processes
Experience supporting global manufacturing and contract manufacturers (desirable)
Familiarity with PLM, ERP, MES, and QMS (preferred)
ASQ CQE/CQA/CRE or Six Sigma belts a plus cross-functional collaboration problem-solving leadership
