Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects in a growing, international pharmaceutical company? At ALK, we are on a mission to improve the lives of people living with allergies, and we are seeking a driven and structured Project Manager to join our team.
In this role, you'll take ownership of projects and ensure their implementation across production, utilities, and facilities areas. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role for a delivery‑focused professional who thrives on managing scope, cost, and timelines, champions GMP and compliance excellence, drives continuous improvement, and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders and vendors alike.
Your key responsibilities: The Project Manager leads projects related to pharmaceutical production, utilities, and facilities, ensuring delivery on time and on budget while meeting all quality and compliance expectations. Key responsibilities include:
Project Leadership
- Lead projects and collaborate with all stakeholders in the scoping, design, sourcing, installation, commissioning, qualification, and handover of equipment for the production areas.
Requirements & Specifications
- Define equipment requirements and specifications based on process, safety, quality, and customer needs. Establish the general automation requirements for manufacturing, QA, and QC equipment.
Technology Evaluation
- Evaluate, or assist in evaluating, the technology necessary to support project requirements.
Budget & Cost Management
- Assist in determining and managing the budget required to support project requirements,
ensuring delivery on time and on cost.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Manage the efforts of subcontractors and vendors to ensure the correct job priorities and schedules are met, whether delivered by internal or external crews.
Quality & Compliance
- Take accountability for the quality and compliance aspects of the assigned activities, performing the required actions (risk analysis, documentation, inspection participation, observation responses, SOPs, etc.).
Your profile
Degree in Science or Engineering.
Candidates should have prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a GMP pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
Demonstrated capability of working within GMP frameworks.
Knowledge of Quality Systems and Validation standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies.
Fluent Spanish and English; excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Your skills and attributes
Structured and delivery-focused, comfortable managing multiple projects in parallel.
Strong stakeholder management; able to influence and coordinate internal teams and external vendors.
Meticulous attention to detail with a pragmatic, risk‑based approach to compliance.
Confident problem‑solver with strong organisational and planning skills.
