As Global Category Manager, you will shape the integral strategy for Automation & Electrical Items and drive value through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships. You’ll operate across procurement, engineering, and legal teams to optimize costs, quality, and innovation at a worldwide scale. The role combines market intelligence, large RFQ leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable savings and platform-level improvements. This is a high-impact, globally exposed role with a clear emphasis on strategic influence and supplier-driven value.

Responsabilidades

- Define and evolve the global category strategy for Automation & Electrical Items
- Lead large, strategic RFQs and negotiate regional/global framework agreements
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions at global/regional levels
- Manage strategic supplier relationships focusing on cost, quality, availability, and innovation
- Consolidate and optimize global/regional supplier base
- Assess and manage total cost of ownership (TCO) across the category




- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cross-functional savings projects
- Coordinate with divisions, business units, and legal entities worldwide
- Plan workshops with suppliers and internal experts to unlock value and innovation
- Monitor and steer category spend toward preferred suppliers

Requisitos principales

- 5+ years of experience in procurement/category management
- Proven contract management experience
- Strong technical and market knowledge of Automation and Electrical Panels
- Experience in global, matrix, and centralized procurement
- Solid background in global negotiations and supplier management
- Strong project management and change implementation skills
- High cultural awareness and international work experience
- Fluent in English; German and/or Spanish a plus
- Bachelor in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering or similar
- Project Management qualification is a strong plus
