We are currently recruiting for a Senior Platform Compliance Engineer to join a major international technology organisation on an initial contract until the end of 2026, with strong potential for extension.

? Location: Portugal or Spain – Fully Remote

? Rate: €35–€40 per hour

? Contract: B2B / Autónomo – Until December 2026 + Extensions

? Start: ASAP

This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, IT controls, risk, compliance and engineering .

The team is looking for someone who can help turn regulatory and control requirements into practical, measurable and increasingly automated platform controls rather than treating compliance as a purely documentation-based activity.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Translate regulatory, risk and control requirements into practical platform controls
- Drive Test of Design and Test of Effectiveness
- Define, collect and automate compliance evidence
- Build reporting and dashboards around control effectiveness
- Support audit readiness and audit activities
- Track findings,



exceptions and remediation actions
- Improve security governance and control maturity
- Improve SIEM use cases, security telemetry and control auditability
- Work closely with engineering teams to embed controls into platform operations

Requirements

- Strong experience within IT risk, IT controls, cybersecurity assurance or IT audit
- Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally banking, insurance, payments or financial services
- Strong experience with security and technology controls
- Experience with control testing, audit findings and remediation
- Good technical understanding of cybersecurity and security operations
- Experience working closely with technical and engineering teams
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
