Overview In this role you will design and maintain scalable backend services for a cloud-native data processing platform. You'll work with cross-functional teams to support ingestion, transformation, and analytics workloads across AWS and GCP. The position emphasizes building observable, reliable systems and mentoring peers while delivering high-quality software. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role that shapes data infrastructure at scale.

Responsabilidades Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Scala

Build and enhance distributed data-processing systems

Integrate with AWS and GCP cloud services

Implement secure cloud-native authentication and authorization

Develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements

Ensure reliability, observability, and operational excellence

Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews

Troubleshoot distributed cloud-based environments

Develop comprehensive testing strategies (unit, component, integration)

Mentor other engineers and contribute to best practices





Requisitos principales Strong proficiency in Scala and sbt

Functional programming principles

Experience with JSON (Circe)

Hands-on AWS and/or GCP experience

Knowledge of IAM, STS, AssumeRole, WebIdentity

Experience with AWS SDKs (S3, AWS STS)

Experience with Google BigQuery and Dataflow

Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL

Asynchronous/concurrent programming (FS2, cats-effect)

Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub

Testing across unit, component, and integration

Kubernetes deployment and cloud-native architectures

Containerization and observability-focused data processing systems

Finagle or similar RPC framework

Data pipeline orchestration/workflow management tools

Git and modern DevOps workflows

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

4+ years in backend/data-intensive roles

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

Effective verbal and written communication
