Experteer Overview
In this role you support mining operations in deploying tailings monitoring and geotechnical risk management solutions, while contributing to applied Ru0026amp;D. You work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate monitoring technologies, coordinate testing programs, and ensure alignment between site needs and corporate standards. You drive evidence-based decisions through data interpretation and collaboration with internal and external partners. • Maintain a continuous technology watch on tailings monitoring, characterization and geotechnical assessment technologies and assess applicable technical and economic solutions for various facilities and conditions
• Support mining operations in implementing tailings monitoring and risk management strategies, acting as a reference for best practices in tailings characterization, dam surveillance, instrumentation and data interpretation
• Define, coordinate and evaluate laboratory, field and industrial-scale testing programs to validate monitoring technologies, characterization methodologies and predictive tools for tailings storage facilities
• Establish and maintain effective communication with site teams throughout the project lifecycle,



aligning operational needs with corporate standards and Ru0026D objectives while supporting solution deployment
• Lead or contribute to applied research and innovation projects focused on tailings characterization, geotechnical monitoring, digitalization, data-driven risk assessment and long-term safety and sustainability of tailings storage facilities

Responsabilidades
• Master's degree or PhD in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology or related discipline
• Knowledge of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and geotechnical risk assessment
• Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems
• Knowledge of geophysical investigation techniques applied to tailings and civil infrastructure
• Ability to interpret and analyze monitoring data to support operational decision making
• IT/Digital aspects knowledge will be valued
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, innovation-oriented mindset with ability to challenge existing practices and implement new solutions
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus and willingness to learn; ability to travel internationally
