Senior Project Server / SharePoint Online Migration Consultant

Madrid, Spain | 100% On-Site | Contract (Staff Augmentation)

A general Microsoft solutions and software services provider is looking for a Senior Project Server / SharePoint Online Consultant to support an end customer through a complex migration from Project Server 2013 to Project Online and SharePoint Online.

This is a hands-on senior role. You'll sit with the customer's technical team in Madrid, advise on the migration approach, and do the migration work yourself.

The engagement

This is a temporary 6-12 month initial period but not a fixed-scope project. You'll provide senior expertise and delivery capacity for the contracted period. You are not expected to complete the full migration within that timeframe.

What you'll do

- Assess the existing Project Server 2013 and SharePoint environment, including configurations, data, permissions, workflows, customisations, integrations and dependencies.
- Help define the migration strategy, priorities, phases and milestones.
- Carry out the technical migration to Project Online and SharePoint Online.
- Identify risks, limitations and blockers early,



and recommend how to handle them.
- Lead testing, troubleshooting, validation and remediation.
- Document technical decisions, migration activities and procedures.
- Transfer knowledge to the customer's internal teams.

What you'll bring

- Senior-level, hands-on experience with Microsoft Project Server (2013 or similar) and Project Online.
- Proven delivery of on-premise to SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 migrations.
- Strong understanding of PWA configuration, permissions models, workflows and customisations.
- Experience assessing legacy environments and planning phased migrations.
- The ability to work autonomously in a customer-facing role and give clear technical direction.
- Availability to work fully on-site in Madrid.
