The Role The Automation Engineer is an embedded technology specialist who is temporarily assigned (“lent”) to a business department—such as Finance, Marketing,



or Operations—to deeply understand their day-to-day processes and pain points. By combining strong Python development skills, advanced AI-tool proficiency, and first-hand domain knowledge acquired on the ground, this role designs and builds bespoke automation solutions that radically simplify the department’s workflows. The position demands a high level of independence, creative problem-solving, and the confidence to adopt the best possible solutions with significant decision-making freedom. What You’ll Do Department Embedding & Discovery: Integrate into the assigned department (Finance, Marketing, Operations, etc.) as a hands-on team member. Map existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and document manual or repetitive processes ripe for automation.
