Why this role matters
The WhatsApp community is the heart of TMM. With 80+ chats, we rely on volunteers to help keep the space safe, organised and welcoming. The What’sApp Community Lead ensures moderators feel supported, group descriptions stay up to date, and community guidelines are consistently upheld. This role helps protect founder time and keeps the community running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
- Recruit, onboard and support volunteer moderators
- Keep volunteer records and forms up to date
- Lead the moderator WhatsApp chat
- Share updates, reminders and guidance
- Update group descriptions across all chats
- Add monthly guideline reminders in Announcements
- Liaise with the TMM team on welcome messaging
- Maintain the Welcome / Get in Touch chat alongside the Community Engagement & Support Manager
- Be the point of contact for moderators
- Escalate safeguarding concerns to founders
- Suggest improvements to community structure
