Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus
NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost.”
The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems.
In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus to support the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation (EO) services and applications, including solutions based on Copernicus data and products, addressing key development, climate and environmental priorities in Africa.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- University degree at Master’s level in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent command of English.
- Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.
Minimum General Professional Experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing and/or climate/environmental services.
Minimum Specific Professional Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience designing or delivering Earth Observation services and applications, preferably using Copernicus data and products, in areas such as early warning, climate, environment, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
- Experience with African institutions and user uptake is an asset.
