Overview In this role you will lead and operate the DB2 for z/OS environments within a large, multinational enterprise. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of a multi-subsystem DB2 estate. You drive upgrades, DR planning, and optimization efforts across regions, enabling reliable, scalable data services. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise data strategy in a mission-critical setting.

Responsabilidades Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades and maintenance implementations Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2-based applications Ensure stability, integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 databases and infrastructure Support and manage Distributed Data Facility (DDF) and distributed DB2 connectivity Maintain OLTP environments with CICS and DB2 and optimize performance Monitor performance and apply tuning recommendations for efficiency Perform capacity planning and growth forecasting Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures Ensure storage management, archiving,



and retention processes Implement and manage database security controls and access governance Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and infrastructure issues Collaborate with application teams on database design, deployment, and problem resolution Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements Maintain technical documentation, operational standards, and support procedures Ensure database and monitoring solutions stay on supported versions Requisitos principales 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with DB2 for z/OS administration Experience in large-scale DB2 environments with multiple subsystems DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Experience in Banking/Financial Services or other mission-critical environments preferred Hands-on experience supporting high-volume OLTP with CICS and DB2 DB2 for z/OS, z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF Experience installing, upgrading, testing DB2 releases and Level 2/3 support DDF (Distributed DB2 Connectivity) experience DB2 performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, DR Security administration for databases Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities analytical thinking troubleshooting strong communication DB2 for z/OS z/OS SMP/E
