Your role

As a Sushi Chef, you will be part of the Nômade Temple Madrid kitchen team, working across our different outlets according to operational needs. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of sushi and other culinary preparations, ensuring the company’s standards of quality, flavour, freshness, presentation, and hygiene.

In addition to your specific responsibilities as a Sushi Chef, you will support other kitchen areas and sections whenever required, contributing to an efficient, organised, and high-quality service.

What you will do:
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and other Japanese-inspired preparations
- Prepare and maintain the necessary mise en place to ensure efficient service




- Properly handle fish, seafood, and other raw materials, ensuring quality and correct storage
- Control cooking times, temperatures, doneness, and presentation of preparations
- Ensure the correct storage, labelling, and rotation of products
- Keep the section clean, organised, and fully prepared throughout service
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections and areas according to the operational needs of the different outlets
- Support with other kitchen preparations whenever required by the service
- Follow all hygiene, food safety, and HACCP procedures
- Control and minimise food waste
- Use kitchen equipment, tools, and machinery correctly and safely
- Report any issues relating to products, equipment, or preparations to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the efficient and coordinated delivery of dishes
