Role purpose

The CIO/CFO is Mitra’s principal strategic and execution partner across investments, finance, capital markets and investor reporting. The role combines investment leadership with CFO-level financial control and is responsible for turning management decisions into clear owners, deadlines and execution.

Mitra retains final authority over strategy, fundraising, investor relationships, capital allocation and Investment Committee decisions.

Core responsibilities

1. Investment leadership and governance
- Lead the investment strategy and supervise the full investment process.
- Oversee the Director of Investments and the investment team across sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, financial models, investment recommendations and IC materials.
- Review and validate investment analyses and recommendations before they are presented to Mitra or the Investment Committee.
- Establish consistent approval, documentation and post-investment monitoring standards.

2. Finance, accounting, tax and control




- Own group and project-level finance, treasury, liquidity planning and cash controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting, tax filings, audits, bank-account administration and corporate obligations.
- Oversee intercompany and shareholder-loan reconciliations, consolidated reporting, budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
- Maintain clear controls, approval authorities, reporting calendars and escalation procedures.
- Coordinate and challenge external accountants, administrators, auditors, tax advisers and legal advisers.

3. Capital markets and financing
- Lead fundraising, debt financing, refinancing and equity-recapitalization processes.
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors and other capital providers.
- Monitor financing conditions, covenants, maturity dates, liquidity risks and refinancing requirements across all assets and entities.
