The ServiceNow Platform Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the ServiceNow platform strategy across the organization. This role provides technical leadership and architectural oversight for ServiceNow implementations, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned with business objectives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, delivery teams, and executive leadership, the ServiceNow Platform Architect drives platform design decisions, establishes governance standards and ensures the successful delivery of complex ServiceNow solutions across multiple business functions.
Platform Architecture & Strategy
- Define and maintain the ServiceNow platform architecture roadmap.
- Develop scalable, secure and sustainable solution architectures aligned with enterprise technology standards.
- Establish platform governance, design principles and development standards.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance on platform capabilities,
upgrades and enhancements.
- Ensure alignment between ServiceNow solutions and broader enterprise architecture strategies.
Solution Design
- Design end-to-end ServiceNow solutions across multiple workflows and modules.
- Translate business requirements into technical architectures and solution designs.
- Evaluate integration patterns and recommend optimal approaches for interoperability with enterprise systems.
- Produce architecture documentation, including solution blueprints, data models and technical design specifications.
- Identify opportunities for platform consolidation and process standardization.
Technical Leadership
- Act as the principal technical authority for ServiceNow initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to developers, consultants and technical leads.
- Review and approve technical designs, customizations, and integrations.
