In this role you will set design strategy across multiple product areas at Dow Jones, partnering with SLT, ELT and C-suite to shape direction at scale. You will establish design practices, guide executive decisions, and mentor senior designers while advancing industry benchmarks. You’ll work on high-impact, cross-product initiatives that drive multi-year business value and position Dow Jones ahead of industry transformation.

Set design strategy across multiple product areas and platforms, aligning with executive leadership to shape company direction
Influence executive leadership with well-considered product and platform rationales that create competitive advantage
Lead company-wide strategic projects requiring cross-product alignment and remove organizational barriers
Identify company-wide opportunities through visibility across product areas to inform long-term planning
Establish design practices and frameworks that become industry benchmarks and share approaches externally
Solve unprecedented, ambiguous challenges by developing new methods that become standard practice
Shape platform evolution to demonstrate value to users and executives and enable capabilities across products




Develop senior design talent and advise executives on design leadership across multiple product areas
Set and embody quality standards across products, markets, and platforms globally
Build external partnerships to enhance capabilities and bolster Dow Jones’s design leadership
Requisitos principales
10+ years of product design experience with strategic impact at scale
Portfolio showing strategy-driven impact across multi-product environments
Proven track record presenting to and influencing C-level executives and boards
Experience setting design strategy for multiple product areas and balancing priorities
Excellence in platform thinking with patterns becoming organizational standards
Thought leadership through conferences, publications xqbhyrx or recognized excellence in design
Ability to solve unprecedented challenges with new methods or frameworks
Strong business acumen connecting design decisions to multi-year outcomes and market dynamics
Experience building design capabilities at scale, including governance and talent development
Ability to navigate organizational complexity across geographies and cultures
Deep expertise across design disciplines and coaching standards
