What We're Looking For

Strong commercial experience with

Java or Kotlin

Strong

backend software engineering

experience

Currently hands-on with coding and comfortable working in a highly technical role

Experience with

cloud technologies

, ideally AWS

Experience building and maintaining modern, scalable backend applications

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable working within a smaller engineering team with significant ownership

Particularly Valuable Experience Experience within

FinTech, banking, payments, lending, insurance or wider financial services

would be a strong advantage.

We’re also particularly interested in engineers who have worked on:

Legacy modernisation or technology migration projects

AWS and cloud-native architectures

Smaller product engineering teams with end-to-end ownership

Practical use of

AI within software development

Develop Linux applications supporting ground-based communication infrastructure

Create and maintain

automated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests

Support

board bring-up, debugging and performance optimization

Contribute to software architecture, CI/CD, testing and long-term maintainability

Provide technical support and guidance around system usage, APIs and troubleshooting

5+ years of experience in

embedded software development

Strong

C/C++ and Python

skills

Experience with

Zephyr RTOS, Yocto and Linux development

Experience developing for

ARM and/or x86

Solid understanding of

Git workflows and automated testing
