In this role you will design, administer, and support IBM DB2 on z/OS within a global IT services environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to meet SLAs, ensure security and compliance, and drive operational efficiency through automation. The position emphasizes reliability, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability to keep business systems resilient.

You will contribute to modernization initiatives and knowledge sharing to elevate service delivery. This is an opportunity to apply deep mainframe DB2 expertise to enterprise banking and large-scale deployments, with a focus on impact and continuous improvement.

- Translate business requirements into technical DB2 specifications
- Provide production support and release management for Db2 environments
- Design, implement, and maintain physical database structures and configurations
- Build, test, and support application database releases
- Manage RACF/ACF2 security rules and access controls
- Build and maintain HA and replication for business continuity
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams




- Support database migrations, upgrades, and data conversion
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve database incidents
- Provide performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning guidance
- Coordinate with development during project implementations and release cycles
- Participate in infrastructure modernization and data center migration programs
- Support evergreen initiatives including upgrades and patching
- Identify and implement automation to improve efficiency
- Ensure ITIL processes and governance compliance

Responsabilidades

- 8-12 years of xugodme hands-on IBM z/Mainframe DB2 administration experience
- Deep understanding of Db2 architecture, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
- Production support and database release management experience
- Strong RACF/ACF2 security administration knowledge
- Experience with HA, DR, and replication technologies
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem)
- Exposure to automation and process improvement
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
