We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Flight Software Engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to participate in the company's various missions, contribute to the evolution of the satellites' onboard software, and participate in its integration into different projects and products. They will also participate in the development of various products where monitoring and control tasks are critical to achieving mission objectives. The Software Engineering Area carries out the design, implementation, and validation of flight software for the space segment and control software components for the ground segment.

What you will be doing?

- Definition and identification of project requirements.
- Analysis and design of embedded software.
- Development of software modules.
- Participation in software and complete system validation campaigns (TLYF or E2E).

What do we need in our team

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience performing functions similar to the position's requirements.
- Development experience with microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of embedded software development tools: C / C++.




- Familiarity with real-time systems (FreeRTOS, RTEMS) and embedded Linux.
- Experience with GIT.
- Fluency in English (oral communication with international clients will be required).
- Experience using lab/instrumentation equipment (power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).

Valuable knowledge:

- Experience with Python or other programming languages.
- Experience in developing communication protocols.
- Experience using communication interfaces such as CAN, I2C, RS-422, SPI, etc.
