The Data Analyst role:
We have 2 exciting opportunities to join our team as Data Analysts.
As part of this role you will support Berneslai Homes to make informed, evidence-based decisions by collecting, analysing, interpreting and presenting data from a range of systems and sources.
Whilst working collaboratively across services to improve data quality, produce meaningful insights, and support performance management, regulatory assurance, service improvement and value for money whilst playing a key role in ensuring data is accurate,
accessible and used effectively to drive positive outcomes for customers and the organisation.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Data Analyst:
- Collect, validate and analyse data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for a non-technical audience.
- Produce data quality reports that clearly show the current standard of data quality and identify areas for improvement, using visualisations and dashboards where required.
- Support business intelligence activity to inform strategic planning, performance monitoring and service improvement.
- Work with services to improve data quality, consistency and integrity across systems.
- Identify data quality issues and support corrective actions.

What we’re looking for in our Data Analyst:
- A level 4 qualification orequivalent level of knowledge gained through relevant work experience.
- Ability to influence behaviours and practices to drive improvement in data quality.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets accurately, drawing sound conclusions and making practical recommendations.
- Experience working with large datasets in controlled environments, with strong data analysis skills and the ability to present insights for varied audiences.
- Experience of improving reporting, dashboards or data processes through automation, standardisation and data cleansing.
- Strong IT and numeracy skills, with the ability to use appropriate tools to extract, manipulate and present data (e.g., Excel, BI/reporting tools).
