As a Software Engineer II, you build and ship production services that empower Elastics engineering teams to develop, ship, and run software at scale. You work closely with mentors, pair on challenging problems, and contribute to design discussions and code reviews. Your focus is on Go-based services, cloud-native patterns, and observability to ensure reliable, scalable systems. This role offers hands-on ownership in a distributed, async-first environment and opportunities to grow your expertise in Go, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsabilidades
Develop features and components for production services
Own well-scoped parts of larger projects from requirements to production
Propose technical solutions and implement them
Pair with senior engineers on complex problems and seek clarification early
Participate in code reviews and design discussions
Support services in production, participate in on-call rotations
Investigate incidents beyond runbooks and improve them for future incidents
Automate repetitive tasks through code
Communicate status and blockers clearly and promptly
Requisitos principales
Hands-on Go experience or strong systems-language background with motivation to learn Go
Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals (Pods, Deployments, Services, Operators) xqbhyrx
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Curiosity about distributed systems and scale-aware service communication
Comfort working through ambiguity with mentorship
