As Global Category Manager for Engineering Services, you will own the strategy and pipeline for a high-value engineering category, partnering with R&D; and cross-functional teams to secure value and sustainability. You will manage major engineering consultants and service networks, driving cost, risk, and supplier development across integral sites. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on negotiation and ecosystem management to enable Roche’s instrument development initiatives. You will work in a diverse, global procurement team that seeks to transform operations through innovation.
Responsabilidades
Form global Category Strategy and initiative pipeline aligned with organizational leaders
Lead high-value commercial and contractual negotiations with strategic suppliers
Manage global supplier ecosystems, develop and monitor innovation programs, assess value delivery and risks
Create and maintain category guidance content to translate strategy into actionable procurement work
Build deep relationships with senior stakeholders, challenge demand/specifications to maximize value and oversee CSR risks




Coach and develop procurement colleagues and manage a shared Associate Category Manager
Track budget spend and contribute to team budgeting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Category, CoE, R&D; and business partners
Requisitos principales
Strategic procurement leadership with global scope
5+ years in strategic and operational procurement, with strong category management and sourcing experience
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Diagnostics) with awareness of legal and quality risks
Deep knowledge of Software Development, Hardware Engineering, and Testing within instrument development
Proficiency with enterprise sourcing tools and procurement systems (eSourcing, xqbhyrx eAuction) and analytics
Experience with AI applications and digital transformation of operations
Strong financial acumen including TCO and cost modeling
Proven leadership, project management and change management skills in global, fluid environments
Business-level English; willingness to travel up to 30%
