In this role you design and lead scalable backend APIs that integrate with cloud services, with emphasis on IBM Cloud. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to define intuitive interfaces and advance Sysdig’s cloud integrations. You’ll guide architecture and drive quality and clarity in API design and data models, shaping the long-term direction of IBM Cloud integrations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you mentor peers and raise engineering standards, contributing to a premier cloud security platform.

Responsabilidades
Lead design and development of scalable backend APIs and services integrating with cloud services (IBM Cloud)
Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Partner teams to define requirements and intuitive interfaces
Shape evolution of Sysdig’s managed cloud services, focusing on IBM Cloud
Influence architecture and technical direction for IBM Cloud integrations (IAM, authn/authz, service-to-service patterns, resiliency)
Champion quality, simplicity, and clarity in system design, API design, and data modeling
Provide technical leadership via design reviews, mentorship, and setting engineering standards
Requisitos principales
Experience designing and building distributed backend systems and APIs (data-heavy or high-throughput)
Cloud fundamentals with IBM Cloud specifics training xqbhyrx or quick ramp-up
Experience with IAM and access patterns (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, RBAC/policy-based access); IBM Cloud IAM a plus
Knowledge of SaaS operations and Kubernetes (deployments, scaling, observability, incident response mindset)
Development experience in Java, Go, or similar
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores (e.g., Postgres)
